Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to oversee the company’s human resources operations while supporting management in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
70% Operational HR
Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters and staff engagement.
Manage manpower planning and recruitment activities to ensure timely fulfilment of business requirements.
Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, HR documentation and personnel files.
Monitor attendance, leave, overtime and other employee-related matters.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases and workplace issues in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Coordinate payroll-related matters and ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll information.
Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
Support training, development and performance management initiatives.
Prepare HR reports, analysis and manpower-related reports for management review.
30% Strategic HR
Work closely with Management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business direction.
Provide HR insights and recommendations on manpower planning, organisational structure and workforce development.
Support succession planning, talent management and employee retention initiatives.
Identify HR trends, workforce issues and opportunities for improvement.
Review and improve HR policies, processes and practices to support business growth.
Advise Management on people-related matters and organisational development.
Requirements
Skill Requirement
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably with experience in a managerial or senior HR role.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.
Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR operations.
Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple HR matters in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Candidates who are hands-on, proactive and commercially aware are encouraged to apply.
